There are many kinds of swarms, but with all the snow we are having the one that comes to mind is a rookery of penguins bleating their way down a snowy slide.

DRAGONS AND MAGIC EXHIBIT AT THE NEW YORK PUBLIC LIBRARY ~ Sept 8-Oct 29

Beginning now and through Oct 29 there will be an exhibit of original artwork  by the Children's Book Illustrators Group - NYC at the Jefferson Market branch of the New York Public Library.    Nineteen members of the group will have original paintings on display with a number of them for sale.  It is part of the celebration of the classic children's books The Reluctant Dragon by Kenneth Grahame and The Magic City be E. Nesbit.

The works featured include a mix of materials from watercolor, collage, acrylics, oils and digital media.
If you are in the area, be sure to visit the library and view the exhibit.  Just a visit to this remarkable building is worth your time.

The stunning building has served the Greenwich Village community for over forty years. Originally a courthouse, the library was established officially in 1967 after a series of extraordinary events.  The history of the building itself is worthy of a novel.  If you want to find out more, click on the link to the library above.

Since there are so many kinds of snow it is always great to have someone on hand for quality control.

Let it Snow!

We are having a beautiful snowy day here in NH. It is supposed to snow for the next couple of days but, mainly for us, a lighter snowfall of only 8-10 inches. Right now we have the best kind of snow. Light, fluffy, blowing around, easy to shovel snow has covered all that we had previously shoveled. Clearing pathways for Henry is easy when we have this kind of snow. And Henry stands and waits for me to create more and more running space for him. This is a dog that hates to get his feet wet.

Magical Snow - And snow stories WANTED (*:)

It usually comes in the night..... covering the old snow with bright new flakes that greet us in the early morning. Magical snow that wipes away the dust and debris. Magical snow that makes hearts sing. Magical snow that brings the bright promise of more joy to come.

Now, I am sure there are as many views of SNOW as there are types of snow. What is your view? Do you love it? Hate it?
