Froggies/Albert Don't be Such a BABY!!!

Frogs always have so much fun.... most of the time.

Just what was it about Albert that was so different from the others at the pond. He always seemed a bit distant, unusual and somewhat depressed. You might even say he was a bit aloof, above it all, a frog of a different nature. He just didn't join in the froggie fun. He was being such a "baby" sometimes!

The Library Lions

A short while back I posted some sketches for a scene outside the NY Library. I decided that color wasn't the best choice and finished it in graphite tones instead.

ILLUSTRATION FRIDAY ~ WIDE ... a reminder

Where there was once a WIDE expanse of ice mass the latest climate changes have contributed to massive melting.

The polar bear is now on the threatened species list. Global warming can be such a bummer.

From jungle to jungle

What started out in an outdoor setting near a jungle, turned a corner in my mind and became a walk into another kind of jungle, the concrete kind.

I had some refining to do and now I'll get to painting the illustration.

I might also bring back the small boy. I have to ask if he wants to go to the library too.

ILLUSTRATION FRIDAY ~ ELECTRICITY

At the children's museum of science there is a static electricity "plasma" globe. By placing your hands on it the most fantastic
things can occur.

ILLUSTRATION FRIDAY ~ SEED

In these apples are the SEEDS of promise. Promise for new growth, and more apples to come. This little guy has his first day at school all planned out. If he has enough apples to go around, he is sure to be a winner with his new teachers.
And it is sure to win points with the bus driver..as he needs to bring the dog along too.
