This is a character I have been developing for a picture book, but he may find his way into Winston's story at some point if he can't find any other home.
Deep in the forest where the wind never blows
In a far away cave where the sun never shines
Lives a man made of stars and the branches of pines

Hi Ginger! Love your new format and Winston's adventures! I've been considering doing a blog for Cosmo, but not sure if I should wait until my book is much closer to being finished - which is going to be awhile! I LOVE Starman he is truly beautiful with his prickly hair and glowing stars. Is he Native American inspired? I love NA legends and am working on a scene from one now, can't wait to reveal it!
Also, I passed the Renee Award on to you just now. You have been a source of creative support and inspiration for many months to me and it means a lot - I truly appreciate it. So grab the award and enjoy! Cheers...Susan
Hi Susan, The starman was born out of those few lines that I wrote ... and is more of a Native Arctic character. When I visited Alsaka I was fascinated by the native peoples and their own legends. So I made one up of my own. Hopefully it will find its way into a book one day, and if not I will keep at least a Dummy on my desk to remind me of those wonderful people that I met.
Once I had written the first verse I was determined to fit it into a story.
Thank you for the Renee Award ~
