ILLUSTRATION FRIDAY ~ THE BLUES

A variation on an illustration from the new book I illustrated. "Song For A Giraffe" by Michael LaLumiere and Kim Messinger should be out sometime this winter or early spring.

Oh... he looks so sad! I'm sure there's a story behind his expression, but anyone can certainly read the longing in his eyes. Beautiful work, Ginger!

That's beautiful, I just want to give him a big hug and make him smile again.
I like your illustrations, very envious of the fact that you have made a full time career from them. I'm studying children's illustration at the moment but making a living from them doesn't seem easy. How do you do it?
