Cite and sweet! I always LOVE the way you render water, and this is such a solid piece with the sea horse and wonderful fish and the kid's content expression. Love it! -kate : )
Thanks everyone. This is a bit of a recycle. I had done a similar illustration for a book, "Princess Caitlin's Tiara" by Kim Messinger and Michael LaLumiere, and this was an outgrowth of things we didn't use. Later I used parts of this as a title page for my website, then changed the site, and saved the child in the waves. I added more fish, more waves, and a friendly gull to give it more life. And of course, we needed a SIGN..... so c'mon yall, DIVE IN!
This is such a magical picture. I love all the details. From the little girl’s green flipper, to the crustacean scribe, and to each expression of the creatures. Everyone is wowing of the way you painted the water, me too. Beautiful!

Wonderful piece Ginger! I can feel the swirling of the water. Love the expression on the crab!
Good advice! Is this part of a picture book? I seem to remember you've done a bunch of seashore bits...
This is one of my favorite of you kids! She is just precious!
