It is hard to believe it has been so long before updating anything on the blog.  I try to keep up, but fortunately the assignments I have can keep me busy for longer than I think.  I wish you all a blessed Holiday Season, Merry Christmas and Happiest times in the New Year to come.

In the spirit of giving and receiving, the forest animals share what they have.

Thanks Patricia... we are almost happy for it up here, but the ice makes things a bit tricky outdoors. We will be happy for more REAL snow..

So cute! How do you create the snowflakes? I'm still learning watercolor painting, and I've tried gouache, acrylic and white ink, but my paint splatters come out a little gray.

Thank you, Angel, I ise a spatters brush and a large round softer brush in Painter X3 a painting program created by corel. It is like painting on paper but with tons of brushes and brush types and many layers and also, levels of "undo" which means that when I paint in the computer there are no spills, and mistakes can be undone and repainted over and over.

Also, when I do,paint with traditional paints I use a titanium white acrylic paint and a bridge brush or an ols tooth brush to make splattered snow.

In addition I have also made some paper snowflakes that I scanned into the computer and I use those from time to time .in the computer where I can resize them and place them on different layers in an illustration.
