Thank you all. As we wait for the REAL spring to arrive the weatherman just announced more snow for tomorrow and next Thursday. But images like this have me hoping for the green grass and flowers to come.
Many thanks. The texture on the sheep is created using a pattern that I drew combined with a special brush in Painter 11 that will "emboss" a design into the illustration. Although I like the technique, things like this are best used sparingily... a touch here and there, but never so much that the viewer gets lost in the texture and forgets about the message.
