ILLUSTRATION FRIDAY ~ HIBERNATE

Just as the last leaves fall,  a mother bear leads her cubs to the den she has carefully chosen.
Winter is coming and the reluctant cubs are nudged gently to their safe haven.

This new layout I used earlier is an experiment. I may want to change to it at some point but not just yet.  I wanted to keep my link lists, and be able to change the background color. Those elements are not available for the newer template design. Hopefully blogger will address that issue in the near future.

I love this; the linework is great and the critters very appealing.

Love the illustration of the bears :) Can't view in dynamic view as my browser is outdated, so I see your blog with a bright blue background. Is that correct?

They look very natural in their environment. We had one who got a bit closer and took the birdfeeder down!

Thank you all. Black bears are more common here than I would have imagined. And we have to take down the bird feeders all spring and summer as well. They can only go back up after the first snowfall.

Thank you all again. This piece will be done in full color for the dummy I am working on. That is Clarence and Alexander following their mom, a bit reluctantly.
