In the Library

© Ginger Nielson
I have a fondness for this illustration. Maybe because two people who never knew each other, might be about to meet. But on what terms? Under what circumstances?

As an explanation, this illustration was done for a challenge offered by James Gurney. He presented a business card and asked us to illustrate whose it was, where it came from and then he posted the entries on his blog. He conducts a challenge each month, and you can find him on gurneyjourney.blogspot.com.

I see this as an older gentleman librarian who moves a book from which a card drops. The woman on the ledge by the window catches it. From there...you need to draw your own conclusions.
