Winter White

Just a few items I wanted to share with you all. Especially with y'all in the south.
Winter in NH this year has been a blast. A blast of cold air. A blast of snow, and snow and more snow. We can measure up to 30" on our deck where the picnic chairs and table are now completely buried. The sights are beautiful...and yes, it is still snowing.

When our mom is here with us for the winter, we usually put out her Norwegian flag along with our own American flag. That way people who live nearby know she is here. ( along with her favorite cat)

Stairs disappear....

Chairs fall victim as well....

And a walk in the woods will have to wait, but it is still quite beautiful and peaceful.
All is calm, all is bright!

What spectacular images. I'm glad you are all safe and sound together inside. Merry Christmas!

This is the kind of winter I love best! I grew up with them like this, and spent another several years in two different country locations with the snow to charm my life. Now I live in Pittsburgh, where the houses are very close together. I miss living in the country, but hope I can move back in the near future!

Strikingly beautiful photos. How wonderful to be all snuggled in a warm and cozy home watching the world turn a cold white.
